SWASTIMA KHADKA CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION
Swastima Khadka was born on July 4, 1995, in Kathmandu. She did her schooling from Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyala in Bhaktapur .She was a naughty student back then. In an interview, she revealed that she was very talkative and fun-loving. She says she remembers doing nonsense things in her school days. She says she used to throw out things from windows and used to be punished several times. She studied I.E Artitechture at Thapathali Engineering College.

Swastima Khadka worked as a model before her debut as an actress. She is a top 5 finalist of Miss Teen that brought her exposure to the glamour world. She started modelling for music videos. She rose to fame after being featured in the ” Baby Kuchi Kuchi ” video which was a sequel to the famous ” Honey Bunny “.This music video rose her to fame and she was a hotcake of various music videos then.

HOSTEL RETURNS: THE BEGINNING
Producer Sunil Rawal was looking for new faces for the sequel of his hit film Hostel. Swastima was a hotcake in the music videos back then. She had done two music videos at the time when she was approached for the film. In an interview, Swastima revealed that she was in college and using Facebook in her class off when she got a message from Producer Sunil Rawal. She had no intention of doing movie back then as she was a newbie to this field. However, Sunil Rawal asked her to join the workshop. After joining the workshop, She was interested and ultimately did the movie. She played the role of Elina in the movie. The movie was a hit and introduced new faces to the industry including Swastima Khadka.
However, Swastima had a long gap in her filmy career after Hostel returns. She made her comeback with Dipendra Khanal’s love love love. The movie released on Baisakh 1, 2074 and had average business.
CHAKKA PANJA : THE HIT SEQUELS
Swastima was starred in Chakka Panja 2 and 3 which was a super hit at the box office. In Chakka Panja 2, She played the role of Akanshya who struggled to go to Australia for further studies. In Chakka Panja 3, She played the role of a Brahmin girl who falls in love with a Janjati girl. The two sequels of Chakka Panja was superhit .
BULBUL: INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION
In 2019, Swastima Khadka appeared opposite Mukun Bhusal in a movie named Bulbul. The film was directed by Binod Paudel. She played the role of tempo driver namely Ranakala. The film was critically and publicly acclaimed. Swastima was highly praised for her realistic acting and portrayal of the character. She even bagged the Best Performer award at SAARC Film Festival for her role in the movie. She also got the Best Actress award for the same in National Film Awards.

Swastima Khadka married Loot famed director Nischal Basnet. The marriage created the buzz in the industry. The people were surprised by the sudden marriage as there was no rumour about them dating. However, Swastima said that despite both being in the same industry, they barely knew each other. Her marriage was an arranged marriage and they tied their knots after meeting him for few times.
